American Oystercatcher landing - Nickerson Beach, NY

An adult American Oystercatcher coming in for a landing:

American Oystercatcher ( Haematopus palliatus ) spreading wings as it is landing - Nickerson Beach, New York

I’ve been taking similar kind of shots for few seasons now but I finally got lucky to get the full wing spread, as it was landing straight on towards me, all taken at the low angle. The bonus was that this bird didn’t have any bands. A minority on this beach ;)
