Northern Shrike - USA

Northern Shrike resting on a twig:

Northern Shrike ( Lanius borealis ) perched

What a find this was! I rarely see Northern Shrikes and whenever I see them, they are very skittish. Not this bird! He watched me getting out of the car, slowly walking pass by to get to the better position. With every step, I was certain that this bird would fly away. Nope. It just sat there giving me opportunities for many different compositions. Here is the first one I would like to share with you. The over the shoulder pose.
